Description

This notification is issued for death cases that occur outside hospital facilities and are subsequently brought to hospital.

Required Documents

New Release
For Citizens:
- A copy of the Emirates ID or Family Book (for the deceased)
- A no-objection letter from Dubai Police authorizing the issuance of a death certificate
- A forensic report (Dubai Police)
- A copy of the recipient`s Emirates ID

For Expatriates:
- A copy of the Emirates ID or passport (for the deceased)
- A no-objection letter from Dubai Police authorizing the issuance of a death certificate
- A forensic report (Dubai Police) – if the death occurred outside a healthcare facility
- A copy of the recipient`s Emirates ID
Issuing replacement death certificates
For citizens or expatriates:
- Submitting a lost death certificate letter from Dubai Police (if available)
- A copy of the recipient`s ID
- A police letter confirming the lost document will be requested if a copy of the lost certificate is not available.

Reissuing copies of death certificates:

For citizens or expatriates
- A copy of the death certificate
- A copy of the recipient`s ID

Fee Details

To issue a death certificate (new issue/first issue, in Arabic and English): free of charge
To issue a copy of a death certificate or a replacement: AED 70 per certificate.
