2195 licensed health professionals serve the medical needs of people of determination in Dubai.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 16, 2022: Dubai Health Authority( DHA) announced that the total number of licensed health professionals that service the medical needs of people of determination in Dubai is 2195 professionals.

DHA made this announcement at their stand during the ongoing AccessAbilities Expo.

Dubai has more than 53,000 healthcare professionals, of which 2195 healthcare professionals are licensed to provide medical services to people of determination.

The 2195 professionals work across 14 medical specialties and are from 81 nationalities.

Dr Marwan Al Mulla, CEO of Health Regulation Sector at the DHA highlighted that the DHA prioritizes the medical needs of people of determination and aims to ensure the provision of the highest quality of specialized and integrated care.

Al Mulla said that in line with DHA healthcare regulations, all Dubai healthcare facilities must be people of determination friendly and they must adhere to the Dubai Building Code in terms of design and building.

He added that the medical specialties for people of determination include pediatricians, rehabilitation specialists, orthopedics, behavioral therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychiatrists etc.

He added that DHA will continue to prioritize the needs of people of determination and ensure the provision of comprehensive healthcare services.
