Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will be adopting an electronic system at its Medical Fitness Centers to allow customers to finish all their medical test procedures from one center or through one of the 40 DHA-approved printing centers.
Medical fitness tests—that include blood tests and x-rays—are a mandatory requirement for all expats in the UAE. It is required for a residency, employment or education visa.
Maisa Al Bostani, Director of the Medical Fitness Services Department at DHA, said the new system, which will be launched in August will allow customers and companies to receive the results of medical fitness tests electronically without the need for a paper document.
She said the new system is part of medical fitness centers’ service and facility expansion plans that are in line with the Dubai Government’s objectives, which aims to provide customers with quality services and achieve customer satisfaction.
Al Bostani said that by implementing the new system, three main objectives will be achieved, which are improving the customer’s journey, reducing the waiting time and providing all the services needed at one place.
Furthermore, Al Bostani announced the authority has approved 40 printing centers to complete the procedures of the customers electronically and in line with the new system’s requirements. This was done to ensure a smooth workflow for customers seeking to receive their medical fitness test certificates while the system is being implemented in phases at medical fitness centers spread across Dubai.
