Dubai Health Authority held several initiatives to mark “Zayed humanitarian Day,” an annual event held in the memory of the Founding Father of the UAE, late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Held on the 19th day of Ramadan in the Islamic year 1425, it coincides with November 2, 2004, the day Sheikh Zayed, the Founding Father of the UAE, died. Since then, the UAE as a nation has commemorated the legacy of this visionary statesman on this day every year as the Zayed Humanitarian Day.
The commemoration serves as an opportunity for the UAE to renew the philanthropic and humanitarian work launched by the Founding Father.
This year, the Zayed Humanitarian Day is even more special as it coincides with the Year of Zayed and the centennial anniversary of the birth of the Founding Father.
