It is the responsibility of the Institutional Marketing and Communications Department to enhance the DHA brand and to promote its services among other government institutions and the general public. Marketing, brand management and communication tools are incorporated to ensure that congresses, awareness campaigns, media interviews, press conferences, and similar events organized by the department are both efficient and effective in achieving the DHA's objectives and correctly reflecting its vision and mission.

The Institutional Marketing and Communications Department is responsible for both internal and external communications and marketing activities. These responsibilities include;
- Creative advertising and branding implementation for the DHA.
- Handling media requests.
- Generating consumer strategies.
- Organizing corporate campaigns.
- Creating marketing activities.
- Arranging events and promotions.
- Holding and organizing conferences and meetings.
By implementing the above marketing and communication strategies the department highlights the mission and vision of the DHA both internally and externally to various DHA stakeholders including patients and medical professionals.
