Platelet rich plasma injections
Therapy is provided by means of Physical agents such as LASER, Ultrasound waves, Electric waves, Hot and Cold. Along with physical modalities specialized therapeutic exercises such as mobilization/manipulation of joint and soft tissue, Mayo-fascial release etc. are provided.
2.1 Electrotherapy Section The electrotherapy section is a spacious area made up of 12 cubicles. The section has the latest electrotherapy equipment viz. Extracorporeal Shock wave, LASER, Magnetic therapy, TENS, interferential, medium frequency currents, ultrasound, cervical and lumbar traction, wax bath.... etc. Magnetic Chair therapy and Pelvic Floor Biofeedback for Rehabilitation of patient having urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse & pelvic floor weakness.
2.2. Kinesiotherapy : It is fully equipped to improve patient's strength, range of motion, general exercise and rehabilitation of Neurological and Musculoskeletal cases. Isokinetic assessment and training is done for functional diagnosis and therapy.
2.3. Hydrotherapy The main pool comes with a temperature control for the water and there is a Hubbard tank for paediatric cases. Regular laboratory tests of the water are done to ensure germ free water.
2.4 Chest Physiotherapy to improve respiratory functions in patients have breathing difficulty, excessive accumulation of chest secretion.
2.5 Paediatric Rehabilitation A comprehensive paediatric physical therapy outpatient care focus on many childhood disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Torticollis, Brachial Plexus injuries, Orthopaedic injuries and Sensory processing disorders. We use advanced quality therapeutic techniques to focus on development training and/or rehabilitation services for the infants to adolescents through comprehensive evaluations based on the child's needs and the concerns of their parents and physicians
3. Occupational Therapy
provides occupational therapy treatments for paediatric and adults patients to improve their ADL, The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in everyday life activities and to help them being independent in those activities.
4. Orthotic Section
Ready made spinal corsets, abdominal belts, various splints, walking aids like crutches, walking stick etc. Special splints and jackets are made from various thermoplastic materials.
5. Inpatient consultative & Rehabilitation services:
These services are provided by PM&R faculty to a diverse inpatient populations with neurological or traumatic injuries, including stroke, and brain injury and to patients with disabling medical and surgical conditions or complications. Cardio-Pulmonary rehabilitation (CR) consultations are also provided for optimizing physical function in patients with cardiac disease or recent cardiac surgeries. CR services can be provided during hospitalization for the event or in an outpatient setting. The inpatient consult service working in coordination with the other specialty plays a key role in facilitating the discharge of patients to post-acute rehabilitation. Their contribution to the health care team is crucial to decreasing length of stay (LOS)
