Main Responsibilities of Governance and Internal Audit Department
The Governance and Internal Audit Department (GIAD) in Dubai Health Authority (DHA) develops and updates systems, processes and policies related to governance by developing and implementing general framework for institutional operations, performance and reports across DHA according to the strategic objectives in order to promote a culture of excellence and improve corporate performance. The department also maintains the effective planning of audit and risk management processes, and measures their impact to ensure that all organisational units comply with the DHA rules, regulations, instructions and procedures.
The Department pursues to promote the concepts of excellence, innovation, and quality and endorses best professional and management practices and ensure the implementation of the most efficient and developed work methods among all DHA staff throughout the various organisational units. In addition, GIAD manages and oversees periodically the implementation of self-assessment system to ensure that DHA systems and standards comply with the Dubai Government Excellence Programme criteria, in order to achieve effective institutional performance across all the DHA units.
The Governance and Internal Audit Department manages the DHA Suggestions and Complaints system to ensure excellent customer service and have greater customer satisfaction in order to meet the DHA mission and strategic objectives.
