General hospital
General hospital is a healthcare facility where diagnosis, treatment, medical care, obstetrical care, nursing care or related services are provided on outpatient basis or on inpatient basis for a period of more than 24 consecutive hours to persons who have an illness, injury or deformity or to aged or infirm persons requiring or receiving convalescent care.
Specialty Hospital
A hospital specialized in treating specific disorders or patients and offers both inpatient and outpatient care as well as one type of healthcare services twenty-four hours a day. Common examples of specialty hospitals include children’s hospitals, cancer hospitals, and hospitals for the mentally ill or other type of specialized service as designated by Dubai Health Authority. The number and types of employees a hospital requires depends greatly on its location, size, funding, management style, philosophy and goals.
