United Arab Emirates, Dubai, August 1, 2011: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced today the working hours for all DHA hospitals, DHA administration and primary health centres and medical fitness centres during the holy month of Ramadan.
The working hours during Ramadan for the DHA administration is from 9 am to 2 pm from Sundays to Thursdays.
Hospitals and health centres, will work as per shift timings and medical practitioners will be on call to ensure work continues at all times during the day and night.
In terms of hospitals, the Al Wasl hospital outpatient clinic will be open from Sundays to Thursdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
The Dubai hospital outpatient clinic will be open from 8 am to 1 pm and from 1:30 pm to 6 pm on weekdays and Rashid Hospital outpatient clinic will be open from 8 am to 1 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on weekdays.
The Hatta Hospital outpatient clinic will be open from 9 am to 2 pm. The family medicine outpatient clinic in Hatta Hospital will be open from 10 am to 10 pm, with a break of two hours from 6 to 8 pm.
The emergency departments of all these hospitals will be functional round the clock.
The primary health care centres (PHCs) will be open from 9 am to 4 pm and 8:30 pm to 11 pm on weekdays during the holy month of Ramadan. The Lusaily centre will follow the same pattern, except it will be open until 10:30 pm instead of 11 pm at night.
On Fridays the PHC centres will remain closed and on Saturdays all PHC health centres will be open from 9 am to 2 pm. The only exception, are the weekend clinics -Al Safa and Al Mamzhar health centre, which will be open from 8 pm to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Dubai Diabetes Centre working hours will be 9 am to 2 pm on weekdays.
In terms of the medical fitness centres, the Al Muhaisnah centre will work be open on weekdays from from 7 am to 5 pm and 9 pm to 2 am. On Saturday the centre will be open from 8 am to 1 pm.
The Medical Fitness Centres in Al Twar, Al Khawaneej, Airport, Rashidiya, Emirates airlines medical, DAFZA, , Al Safa, Al Badaa, Al Mankhool and DIFC medical centre will work from 9 am to 2 pm on weekdays.
Al Satwa will work from 7 am to 5 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. The Al Quoz medical centre will be open from 8 am to 4 pm. Knowledge Village and JAFZA will be open from 8 am to 1 pm.
In addition to the weekday timings of 9 am to 2 pm, the Al Safa centre will be open on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
