The 14-storey hospital sits atop a two-storey base and contains 630 beds. The main building, containing ten floors of wards, sits on top of the two-storey podium which houses the accident and emergency units, outpatient services, treatment departments and ancillary accommodation. The design of the hospital attempts to create a building that responds to a human scale. |
