| Dr Mohammad Al Olama is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Hospital Services Sector at the DHA since 2009. He is responsible for overseeing the functionality of the DHA hospitals- Rashid, Latifa, Dubai and Hatta as well as the DHA specialty centres- The Blood Donation Centre, The Thalassemia Centre, The Dubai Cord Blood and Research Centre, the Airport Medical Centre, Dubai Gynecology and Fertility Centre and the Dubai Diabetes Centre. Dr. Olama holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University in USA where he graduated with honors in 2003. The following year he undertook another Master’s degree in Public Health Administration from the Harvard University, USA and graduated with honors in 2004. He also holds a diploma in International Management Program from Sanyo Training Centre in Japan. In 1998, he joined the Dubai Health Authority where he worked in the general surgery department in Rashid hospital; later from 2004 to 2007 he held the post of the director of the executive affairs department at the DHA. From 2007 to until early 2009, he worked as the executive director in the Dubai Banking Group , which is a subsidiary of Dubai Holding. |
