| Dr Abdulla Ibrahim Al Khayat is a Paediatric Cardiologist by profession and the Chief Executive Officer of Latifa Hospital of Dubai Health Authority, Government of Dubai, UAE since 1st October 2009. Dr Abdulla joined the Dubai Health Authority on the 22nd of November 1972 as a Senior House Officer (Paediatrics) . He later held the post of a Senior Consultant in Paediatrics since 2005. He graduated (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from Cairo University, Egypt and obtained his MD (Paediatrics) from Cairo University, Egypt. He is also a Professor of Paediatrics at the Dubai Medical College for Girls. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland since May 2004. He is also a fellow and examiner of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom since August 2005. He is a recipient of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences . In December 2010, he received the Hamdan Award for Eminent Personalities in the Medical Field (as “First UAE Paediatrician”) in recognition of the pioneering services rendered to the advancement of medical sciences. He also received the Dubai Government Excellence Award for Best Supervisor in April 2001 and the Cultural and Scientific Association Sheikh Rashid Prize for Academic Distinction in November 1989. Dr Abdulla authored a book in Arabic entitled: "The Baby and the Life" in 1990 and wrote an article - Al Baladiyat “Danger of Bint Al-Thahab” (Article) which was published in International & Local Magazines. |

May 20, 2013 His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the DHA headquarters yesterday. HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, were present.
